Art Projects: Miniature By Moonlight

One of a group of artists, we were awarded an Arts Council grant to produce work in response to the Lyme Regis museum's collection. The exhibit that I was interested in was a locket with a tiny painting of the cobb inside. I wanted to recreate the sense of something precious so printed my images and folded them, meaning the photograph had to be unwrapped. Using silver ink on black paper added to the sense of special as well as being suited to the moonlit seascapes. It is unusual for me to photograph landscapes, I was attracted to the glistening light on the moving water.
